Coeur d'Alene Wedding: Chris & Britany

I didn't get to meet Britany until two days before the wedding. While her fiance, Chris, is from Coeur d'Alene, she was living in North Dakota, which was obviously a barrier to us meeting face to face. I don't think it hurt us. Chris and Britany were both so easy to get along with, and so easy to work with things just flowed really well. We got some absolutely amazing photos, and the ceremony, which took place on the lake at the Jewett House, was absolutely beautiful. The party would move to the Coeur d'Alene Inn, which is not only where they got ready, but where the reception was. The food was great, the people even better.

I got to meet Aubrey before our photo shoot at a wedding for her older brother, Isaac, who got married at a beautiful farm in Bonners Ferry (I'm looking forward to showing you those awesome photos!). It was about a week later that we were able to really spend some time together, and I loved how the shoot turned out. Aubrey herself is amazingly talented: her first instrument is the piano, which of course we couldn't bring along very easily, so we had to "settle" for her other main instrument, the violin. She's amazing. And I'm not just talking about her musical skills, after all, she does play the piano, guitar, and violin, but she also loves things like Star Wars, fantasy and fairytales, and long boarding. Oh, and she's willing to wade into the lake for photos, which is also awesome. In short, this girl is the whole package.

Lisa contacted me not too long ago with a wedding inquiry for a seemingly-random Wednesday in October. After a couple of emails back and forth and meeting with this awesome couple, I started to see the larger picture. October 1 is their anniversary, and what better day to get married than on your anniversary, no matter which day of the week it lands on? It turns out the two met at Starbucks. I would like to say that Will (or William, as Lisa calls him) saw Lisa across the room and “knew she was the one” and walked over there, started talking to her, and the rest was history. But that’s not how the story goes, and praise the Lord, too, because their real story is much more interesting.

Yer and Kia put together one of the most beautiful weddings I've been a part of. The Hagadone Event Center was absolutely stunning, and made for some amazing ceremony and reception moments. Yer and Kia couldn't have been easier to work with, and the Cameo Events team made things go smoothly, on time and were really fun to work with. The weather went from 95 degrees and sunny early in the morning to a crazy lightning and thunderstorm in the evening. Kia would, at the very end of the reception, jump into the pool in the middle of a downpour, which was awesome, crazy, and happened way to fast for me to focus in the pitch black.

Coeur d'Alene Senior: Kelly Thomas

I'm taking a break from some beautiful wedding photos this week to share some senior photos I had the privilege of shooting. I met Kelly the day I took her senior photos, and there is no doubt she is going places. She is beautiful, smart, athletic, and kind. It made the photo shoot easy, and it went by quickly. Ever since, I've been dying to post these photos to share some of the awesome shots I got.
