I met Lindsay Cole at my church’s college group in Coeur d’Alene. She is nice, energetic, fun, and on the leadership team with me. She is someone my wife and I liked immediately. Because of this, she was someone we sat next to on a regular basis. She also writes an awesome blog (which can be found at the link below) where she has affectionately coined the term #Lindszlo in reference to herself and her handsome fiancé Laszlo. One of the great things about these two is how much fun they have together, and I think it shows. It’s completely obvious in the photos that they aren’t just “looking good” (which they did quite well, I might add), but that they are also having an amazing time. One of the greatest things about them, though, is their story.

Coeur d’Alene Engagement: Laszlo & Lindsay

Laszlo and Lindsay are not a serious couple. That is to say, there was way more laughter going on during this engagement shoot than I normally experience. They have a good time together, and it shows.

I met Chase and Emily on the same day in downtown Spokane. Both of them getting their senior photos done. Chase is going to a skills school where he is learning how to install car stereos, while Emily is an studying to become and CNA. While i love shooting weddings and engagement shoots, sometimes it's really refreshing to be able to focus on a single subject. Check out some of the photos from their shoots below. :)

I'm a wedding photographer. I love shooting people, but even more so i love shooting people that are in love and bring a certain amount of emotion to a photo. I love how, through a good photo, stories can be told, feelings, felt. Families bring character to photos, and seniors bring the future. One thing i have shot but don't talk much about is sports. I'm a huge basketball guy, I played four years of basketball at Multnomah University and loved every minute of it. And as i said before, I shot tons of photos. It is super important to learn what your camera can do, this means shooting in all types of conditions. Because when your shooting a wedding, you get almost every kind of possible lighting scenario. This means keeping your camera on you everywhere you go.

I met Greg and Ashlyn the day i took their engagement photos. Coming into the shoot i knew very little about them and their huge day. I knew they were from Spokane, and that they were getting married in Florida. I also knew they wanted to have their photo shoot in the snow. Of course a snow engagement shoot sounded like a lot of fun, so i was game. We've had a good amount of snow here in Coeur d'Alene the last month or so, and I've had several opportunities to take some photos in them. Not only did I get a save the date shoot early this month, but i also had the opportunity to post my first blog with a bunch of snow photos. Snow is beautiful no doubt. So imagine how happy i was when i woke up to find a fresh new layer of snow all over the ground. I knew Ashlyn and Greg would be pumped. However, by the time we met that snow had melted completely away, taking away our dreams of a winter wonderland. However, we did get a beautiful day over at the Bowl and Pitcher State Park. As we talked i learned much more about them and their story is quite unique.
