Coeur d'Alene Family Photo of a family of 15 laying in a field

Family Photography: The Emerys

The Emery family is an excellent one. I've known some of them for long time (since 8th grade) and I've sat with some for lunch in college. I've gone to prom with one of them. I've photographed one of their families, and I've enjoyed their company. I've gone to bachelor parties and looked for a person named Dave. But I had never met the people that started such an excellent family, nor have I had the privilege of meeting all of their kids.

Surreal Lake Wedding: Mitch & Marisa

I'd love to say Mitch and Marisa got married on a beautiful sunny day in Coeur d'Alene at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, with a small lake breeze keeping the temperatures just right. I'd love to say that everything went exactly the way the bride and groom hoped - but I can't.

North Idaho Sunset Wedding: David & Abi

Abi and I met over ten years ago just after I graduated high school. We hung out together, we had mutual friends, and went to some Bible studies together. I think back on those days with fondness. She was always someone I enjoyed spending time with, and also someone I knew would do amazing things as they got older.

Settlers Creek Engagement: Tyler & Sara

Tyler messaged Sarah on Facebook. I asked him why, he simply said he thought she was hot. Of course Sarah thought he was kind of a jerk, and that "he wasn't interested" in her because of the way the conversations went. I asked Tyler if he just played it like that because sometimes girls want what they don't have, he said he can't just be a blunt person sometimes. Turns out, that's exactly what Sarah wanted, because it wasn't long that they were messaging each other almost every day. But then again Sarah left to Alaska and they didn't talk for a could weeks.

Coeur d'Alene Resort Wedding: Josh & Haley

Josh and Haley are two people I have enjoyed immensely. They are kind, loving, understanding, and definitely fun to be around. Their wedding was one I will remember for a long time. Not just for the beautiful sunset, or the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream truck that showed up for their desert, nor for the beautiful venue they selected - The Coeur d'Alene Resort is certainly beautiful - I won't even remember it for the incredible flowers (made the by excellent Carissa at The Art of Flower) or the amazing details, Haley's dress is one of my favorites all year.
