Michael & Katie's Winter Tubbs Hill Engagement

Just like so many couples these days, Michael and Katie met because they both swiped right. In fact, when we met for their engagement shoot, we were only a couple days before their "swipaversary" - Mike likes dates. Anyway, it's been almost exactly 2 years since they both swiped right and had their lives changed forever.

Mike told me that his first impression of Katie was that she was beautiful, while Katie thought Mike was "a little boring". The reason was simple, Mike had a job, and could not respond during the day. What Katie found out, however, was so much more. Mike not only had a job and was a responsible human (unlike so many others on the app) but he also was kind, thoughtful, and enjoyed real conversations. He was so different, he really didn't even belong on the app (her words, more than mine). She loved it. So while they took a week to chat before they met (something Mike didn't want to do, preferring face to face conversations) when they did meet, it went incredibly well.

Well, at least after Mike convinced Katie not to cancel (because she tried).

You see, Katie just didn't think Mike could be real - again, he didn’t' belong on the app - he couldn't be this kind and thoughtful. But he is, and while I haven't spent a lot of time with Mike, it is readily obvious that he is those things.

So when they met for food, they talked all night. Mike was taller than Katie had expected (which was a nice pleasant surprise) and it was 10 minutes into their conversation that Mikes "ok, let's just get this meeting over with" pessimism went away. For Katie as well, 10 minutes in, they were having a great conversation, and she was so happy to be there. They would stay until the restaurant closed.

It wouldn't be long before these two would start to wonder "is this the person I'm going to marry?". They would go on road trips, and have some great adventures. Now, they are starting the biggest of them all - together. I'm so excited to be there for their wedding this summer, and I'm pumped I could be the one to share these engagement photos with you now. I hope you love them!
