Family Photos in Tacoma with the Greenfields

I’ve known Rory for a couple of years now through our time volunteering at New Day summer camp. It’s one of those weeks where the energy is high and the connections are real. We actually bonded over our shared love for morning runs—heading out before the camp day fully kicked off, sometimes with a group of students in tow and sometimes just to catch a quiet mile.

Family Photos in Idaho with the Galloways

Being able to photograph families is one of my favorite things. Watching them interact, watching them laugh, joke, and get along really shows me a lot of what a family is about. The Galloway family is special. They clearly get along, but even more clearly love each other. I had a blast capturing them and their interactions, but also seeing them again (as I had the chance to photograph Derek and Stephanie’s wedding a couple of years ago).. Hope you love the photos from this late winter family shoot!

Rhea and Divine's Farragut State Park Elopement

Rhea reached out to me recently with a plan. She wasn’t looking for a photographer for a wedding a year or two away—she was getting married in just a couple of weeks! She asked if I could be there to document their surprise elopement at Farragut State Park, and I’m so glad the stars aligned so I could say yes. Watching Rhea and Divine see each other for the first time was incredible, but being the only witness there (alongside the officiant and her husband) was a privilege that is hard to put into words.

In this case, Nik had mentioned that he once backpacked through Europe alone.

Saint Al's Wedding with Shavonne and Tom

I had so much fun meeting with Tom and Shavonne. Not just the first time when we met for beer and talk theology, or the second time when we did their engagement photos, but also the third time when I watched these two amazing people get married! They are so quick to smile, so willing to have a good time, and are just genuinely great humans. Being able to be there, and see Tom’s face as Shavonne walked down the aisle was incredible. And I'm so excited I get to be the one to share their wedding photos with you. I hope you love them!

Review: A Photographer’s Guide to Coeur d'Alene Resort Weddings

There are many factors at play in great wedding venues when it comes to photography. Note, there are many factors beyond photography that I cannot speak to - such as the price of a venue, how easy they are to work with from a couples perspective, and how responsive they are. That said, being that I've been to well over 400 weddings, I do know what a great venue looks like - and the Coeur d’Alene Resort is one of them.
