Working with Brands
It is no mystery that I love hiking and being in the outdoors. It’s one of my favorite ways to spend time with my friends and my family. There’s something about being in the outdoors that’s relaxing, adventurous and so so fun. Recently i’ve been working with various brands while on these trips to take incredible photos of their gear in amazing places. I wanted to show off some of what i’ve been doing with them. Being that I live in the Pacific Northwest, I am often in the position to be in some incredible places, and I have the ability and the knowledge to take excellent photos of those moments. What a privilege it’s been working with these incredible companies and products.
High Performance Ultralight Gear
Outdoor Vitals has some of the absolute best Ultralight gear out there. I was a customer of their’s before I ever had the chance to work with them - and it wasn’t because their gear wasn’t good. Each piece of equipment or gear I have tested and tried has been at the highest end of quality, and each time shockingly light. Further, each one has clearly been thought through by people actually using the gear for its designed purpose, and it makes for gear and equipment that is always practical, light, and extremely useful. For someone who is always also bringing heavy camera equipment with him, being able to cut weight in all the other areas has been huge for me. If you love backpacking and hiking, checking out their gear is a must.
Be Free
Freego features a great range of different performance e-Bikes. From fat-tire bikes to compact and light foldable bikes, they all have massive battery capacity and strong range. Being able to photograph and ride the Freego was an absolute blast and I loved putting it through its paces. Easily some of the most fun I’ve ever had doing a photo shoot.
Built for the toughest journeys
Orca has some of the absolute best rotomolded coolers out there. This 65 quart Wheeled Cooler has been a game changer for us on trips. Not just when you’re trying to get a big, full cooler down the dock to the boat, or out to the perfect spot on the beach, but even just getting it out to the car is 100% easier than it is with other coolers. The Ice retention is top notch, lasting us through an entire week long trip at the coast. I’ve been super impressed with the quality of their equipment and absolutely loved working with them.
Go anywhere. Be comfortable.
Cliq is another company I was a customer of before I ever had the chance to work with them. Their chairs break down so small (the classic is the size of my water bottle) and are so comfortable, it makes taking them on trips, hiking, or camping so much easier than the classic “camping chair”. Being able to work with them to get something awesome, while representing how great their chairs are, has been an absolute privilege.
The ultimate lay-flat sleep system
Haven Tents makes one of the most unique, incredible backpacking hammocks on the market. Keeping it flat and open, it truly feels like a tent you never have to find a flat spot for. It is comfortable, flexible (can even be setup on flat ground as a tent) and very comfortable. My experience with them has been top notch, from quality gear to quick communication. I have absolutely loved their gear, and working with them has been exceptional.
Enjoy your favorite drinks in your favorite places
High camp Flaks is another product I bought and used before I ever had the chance to work with them. The way they build their vacuum sealed, metal, magnetic flasks is some of the highest quality products out there. From their Firelight Flasks meant for spirits to their Parkside Flasks meant for wine, they are all so flexible and well made. They make sharing on the go easy (as they have magnetic tumblers attached to the flask) and easy to bring what you need. These products are things I show my friends when they come over - they are truly super cool. I have loved working with the fine people over there at High Camp.
Quality Outdoor Gear
Swiss Tech makes high quality survival gear and travel equipment. From knives and flashlights/headlamps to power banks. Everything someone like myself would need when on the go. The quality of their gear feels clear from the moment you get it in your hands, and it has clearly been well thought out. I was able to work with them toward the very end of the year and i’m excited to do more with them in the future.
While I absolutely love capturing weddings and families, doing work like this has been a huge privilege. It’s awesome getting out into the outdoors, and thinking about things a little differently. Looking forward to sharing more.
