Being able to see the German-Murrey family continues to be a blessing. It's so wild to me to think I first met them when they were expecting their first child - and to think they have asked me to be a part of their lives, a part of their story each and every year since then is just wild. It's hard to share how much of an honor that is, but I do know sharing their family photos each year, watching life move forward for them as it does for me, is one of the greatest joys of being a photographer. I look forward to seeing them each year, and i'm so excited to see their family grow.

Family Photos with the Griswold's

Being able to see the Griswold family grow year after year is something that is amazing. It’s one of the best things about this job, and when you genuinely love talking with the couple and family each and every year, it makes it even better. This year being able to be at their own property, seeing where they live life, and getting a family together on the very land the live life on? Huge. So here are some of my favorites from their fall family photo shoot.

Fall Family Photos in Coeur d'Alene with the Allsup Family

I had the chance to meet the Allsup family a couple of years ago, and so when Abigail reached out to me this year to see if I could photograph their family again I was excited. Their kids have so much life and joy, and it’s so fun when there is enthusiasm not just with the parents - but their children. But this family of five is a blessing in every way - they are kind, easy to talk to, and so quick to laugh. It is moments like these that I am reminded of how lucky I am to be a photographer and meet people like this.

The Retz Family's Fall Photos

I've had the privilege of knowing Jarrett and Meagan for years now. I photographed their wedding, their engagement before that, and I've gotten to come back for family photos more than once since. So when they reached out to tell me their family had grown again with the arrival of baby Theodore, I was so excited to get back out there with them.

Family Photos with the Bartons

Photographing a family I’ve known for years is always something I love doing. Jamie has coached my boys in soccer (she’s amazing!), and I’ve had the chance to coach Flint in basketball. Plus, Bodie and Lucia are part of the youth group I help with, and I’ve loved getting to know them. This shoot was awesome because I got to interact with the whole family at once and know them even better. What an amazing family—so kind and wonderful to have in my life!

The Cypher Family's Photos

Every once in a while I get the privilege of photographing some people I know. And in this case, that was half true. I’ve had the privilege of knowing several members of the Cypher family (Ezra and his sister Eliza) over the last couple of years as I am the youth pastor at the youth group they go to. I’ve had Ezra over to my house, and beaten him in a football game (he may be taller than me, but don’t discount my old-man muscle). So getting to meet the whole family, watch them interact, and get to know them more myself was absolutely awesome. So excited to share these photos, and definitely looking forward to the next time!
