Landscape Photography

I love to do more than Photograph Weddings

Ever since I have had a camera in my hands I have loved photographing the incredible things God has made. Landscape photography is such an interesting thing, as everyone with their iPhone seems to do it, but what makes the difference between them and my own photos? Well, a lot actually. One of the biggest factors though is my desire to wake up at 3am, drive two hours in the dark, and hike up before dawn to get a photo like the one above. So below I have decided to show off some of my favorite landscape photos, some taken in the place I live, beautiful North Idaho, others taken in the broader region, the Pacific Northwest. You’ll see photos from the coast to Mount Rainier to the North Cascades. Then I have photos from areas i’ve had the chance to travel to, from Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon to beautiful Kauai Hawaii. I hope you love them all.

North Idaho

Photos from some of my favorite adventures in North Idaho. Mountain lakes at sunrise and sunset, mountain ranges, and all the beautiful little things in between.

Pacific Northwest

The Pacific Northwest is quite possibly one of the most beautiful places on earth. This is a gallery showing off some of my favorite spots from the Pacific Crest Trail, the North Cascades to Mount Rainier National Park.

Travel

I have been very fortunate to be able to travel for work. While traveling, I have absolutely loved mixing in adventures in between the lines. These are photos from those adventures. Here you’ll see Zion National Park, Kauai Hawaii, and more.

Favorites from North Idaho

This is one of my favorite mountain lakes to hike into and camp

From a hike early November, when the fall colors were still strong, but the snow and ice had moved in.

Sunset on the Palouse is mesmerizing. Pulled over to grab this on the way to a wedding.

Stars over a mountain lake.

Sunrise over Lake Pend Oreille.

Frozen Sunset over North Idaho. We did not expect to be in two feet of snow when we started this hike.

Late June hike where we expected no snow, but got about 10 feet of it.

Sunrise after a night in the mountains. This particular photo features four mountain lakes if you look closely.
