The Morman Family Photos

Last year I had the chance to do Eric and Magda’s engagement photos and wedding photos. So when Eric called me up this year and asked if I wanted to take some photos of their family (now featuring the beautiful little dog!) I was 100% on board. These are two people I have always enjoyed talking to, from the first time we met at the coffee shop to the very end of their wedding day - they have just been great people. So I hope you love some of these family photos! They are just a couple highlights.

Eden and Dillon's Mexico Proposal

I first met Dillon and his family at his older brothers wedding (shout out to Brayden and Aeva!) he was in high school then. But I am not exaggerating when I say that this wedding stood out in my mind. Not just because Brayden and Aeva are awesome (because they are) but because their family is awesome. This translated into getting the chance to photograph Dillions senior photos. It was here I had the chance to meet Eden, get to know Dillon more, and his family. In both cases my impression of them and who they are only increased. And I genuinely loved talking with them. So when I found out that Dillon was going to propose to Eden, and that I was being asked to be there, I was so excited. Proposals are some of my favorite things, such excitement and emotion it feels so visceral.

Dom and Raegan's North Idaho Morning Engagement

What's weird about Dom and Reagan is that they met in person. Yeah, you heard me right, in the flesh and blood. They met at work, and while their friendship started there, it grew into so much more. They both love hiking and of course, their amazing dog. They love helping others, and being in the outdoors. They are kind, easy to talk to, and quick to laugh at a good joke. It’s all these little things that caused each of them to fall for the other. First friends, soon forever

Will and Jordan's Wedding at The Ridge at Greenbluff

I saw this all the time, it’s really hard to look happy in the rain. It’s cold. It’s wet - very wet (by definition). It messes up your hair, makes your clothes uncomfortable, and makes existing hard. So when I got to Will and Jordan’s wedding in Mid-Ocotober, I was wondering how the potential for rain would affect the day. While we got very lucky and it held off for most of the portraits, it really started raining on us in the middle of the ceremony. People had umbrellas, yes, but Jordan went without. As the rain fell, and things got more and more wet something struck me - these two seemed to be able to kill it in any situation. They never ceased being kind, never ceased having fun, and were ready for anything. And it shows! I absolutely love how these photos turned out. An amazing couple, group, location, everything came together for an awesome and beautiful wedding that I had a blast being a part of. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Kevin & Annie's Downtown Spokane Engagement

They met when they were younger, because Annie is Kevin's friends little sister. For years, that's exactly how she was viewed as well - Alex's little sister. That said, it didn't actually stop Kevin from hitting on her now and then, but because she was in a relationship she didn't acknowledge it one way or the other. He was her brothers friend, after all.

Fernando and Jaimey's Wedding on Priest Lake at Hill Resort

Fernando and Jaimey are two people with magnetic personalities. They are easy to like, quick to laugh, and have great friends. Look no further than these photos, where their smiles light up a room, and they are clearly having such a great time. But it extends beyond that, to how they treat you when things aren’t looking, maybe it’s making sure you have food, or even pouring you a small bit of Blanton’s Whiskey just like everyone else. I never once felt like “a vendor” but more like a friend. Such a beautiful wedding, with fall colors, smoke, and a lot of personality.
