Photography is this crazy thing that captures some of the most amazing moments, with some of the most important people, and tries to keep those moments forever. So when you find a photographer, you don’t just want the photos to be “OK” or to risk rain or snow ruining your photos. You want a photographer that can produce incredible work regardless of the situation, you want a photographer who can make you look great in the dark dank woods, in the ballroom, and in the fields. You want someone who knows how to handle light, control it, and find it.
There are several ways you can find a great photographer, and one of them is to look at their work. That is absolutely important. This is why at Looyenga Photography we blog all the time and we hope you look at those. We want to show you what we can do. But another way is to hear from others. How was the experience from other brides? other people who wanted memories captured? That’s what this section is about. Over time we’ll be continually featuring more and more reviews, and hopefully show a consistency of work — and a consistency of satisfaction.

My husband and I only had one day that would work with our schedule (we lived out of state) for our engagement photos, and it just happened to be the biggest blizzard of the year.
