Spokane Engagement Photography: Alex & Rebecca

They met on Tinder - as so many people do these days. They started talking via chat, but one of the things that really struck Rebecca was that Alex was asking real questions - and responding in a deeper, less surface level way. This already set him apart from the others she had tried to talk to on the app. This was two years ago though, so they were in the middle of the lockdown for COVID, and so instead of doing an official date to start, they decided to do a Zoom date. This helped with Rebecca's anxiety around meeting someone online, but also meant they didn't have to drive the hour and a half between each others homes.

It went well - very well, in fact. As they would talk for around three hours on the zoom call, and then again a couple days later on another zoom call. I asked Alex what he was thinking during that second zoom call at it was something along the lines of "dang she's hot!" and "how is she still talking with me?!" - Rebecca on the other hand was just so happy to meet someone who was really engaged with her and wanting to actually talk. They shared similar passions and ideas, and were going in a similar direction in life.

So they decided to meet - for real. Rebecca would be the one to end up driving, and they would go on a date that would last upwards of 6 hours (on the 4th of July) and at the end Rebecca told me she would come out thinking "Oh man, I've found the one, I think he's it…" - which is amazing after only 3 dates. Alex, in contrast told me he was convinced she was the one after their second zoom date. And they were right! They are getting married now and I'm so excited to be able to share their engagement photos with you! I hope you love them!
