Austin and Kindal's Farragut State Park Engagement

They met at work - kind of. Basically Kindal would walk by Austin's job every day on the way to her job - but they wouldn’t' talk. This would happen for months, but one day Kindal would be a "recommended follow" on Instagram, so he would do so. Kindal noticed, and hoped he would reach out - he didn't. That is, unless you count him responding to a poll she made once.

In the end, they would start talking for the first time over a dating app - Bumble in this case. This meant Kindal had to reach out first. They would talk on the app for over a month, yet still not hang out. Eventually some of their friends would decide to throw a party and invite both of them (shout out to Daniel and Ashley!) as Daniel worked with Austin, and Ashley with Kindal - perfect.

Austin would head over to their house and was greeted by Daniel with a glass of whiskey waiting for him (good man, that Daniel). While they would both have a lot of fun at the party, they STILL wouldn't really talk very much. Eventually Austin would go to leave, Kindal would say bye, and Austin would finally approach her. He gave her a very quick hug, and then left.

Not quite what I was expecting either (or Kindal). That said, this was a big moment, really. As that kind of opened things up for them to talk more. Although when they decided to watch a movie over at Kindals house, that was really the straw that broke the camels back. That is to say, they finally had a chance to talk for real.

They told me it took them roughly a month to realize that what they had was special. That the person they had been talking to, texting, and hanging out with was actually an awesome person, and they wanted more. Now they are getting married! And soon too! I am SO excited to see both of them at their wedding, celebrate with them, and capture some amazing memories.
