Sean and Amanda's Christmas Wedding

Sean and Amanda had thought of so many things, one of which was Amanda’s dress - something she had wanted since she was a child. The colors were all brought together to match the dress and the day, and everything seemed to come together in such a great way. Look no further than the fact we had an actual sunset on a mid-December day. I really appreciate the kindness of them and their friends, and I had such a great time being there and capturing each of the moments. Here are some of my favorites!

Josh and Nikki's Downtown Boise Wedding

I feel like I clicked with Josh and Nikki from the very beginning. Josh loves photography, and Nikki loves her dogs (well, they both love their dogs, but you know what I mean). Either way, both of those things I can relate to very easily, and I have had a great time getting to know both of them. So when they asked me if I would be willing to come down to Boise for a wedding, I was thrilled. I don’t head south that often, and I love to travel (look no further than my “personal” blogs here on the website). We ended up with one of the craziest early November days, from torrential downpours to sun to thunder at one of the craziest times during a ceremony I’ve ever witnessed. These two had an absolutely beautiful day, and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite moments with you here.

Austin and Kindal's Spokane Club Wedding

Austin and Kindal were a highlight wedding for me this year. I am lucky enough to have a couple of those, but this one was special. Not only was it in the fall but we had nice weather, but all the little things seemed to go so well. The Spokane Club was beautiful as always, the details were thoughtful, but above all, the people were amazing. From Kindal’s incredible smile to Austin’s genuine expressions, each moment was beautiful. Add on that being able to see upwards of four or five other couples who I had also photographed their wedding was huge for me. Seeing friends, and being able to be there to capture each of those moments and expressions. Austin and Kindal’s wedding was incredible, and I am so excited that I get to be the one who shares these photos with you first.

Bryce & Monica's Davenport Historic Wedding

Bryce and Monica had such an incredible wedding at the Davenport Historic Hotel in Spokane Washington. It was beautiful for so many reasons. It wasn’t just the beautiful ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral just five minutes away, nor was it the fact that we had the chance to do almost all their photos at the sunset hour, or even the absolute beautiful reception in the Isabella Ballroom. No, the thing that made the whole day so great was the people. Monica and her family were always so so kind, and Bryce’s family in a similar way. People were quick to smile, help, and came ready to have a good time. This wedding was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end, and being able to be there was absolutely awesome. Here are some of my favorites!

Gerdes Family Photos at Manito Park

It’s not very often you get to have a FIVE-generation photo, but I had the chance to capture that when I did the family photos for my wife’s side of the family. So if you see myself, my boys, and my beautiful wife in some of these pictures, it’s because we were there! That also means this family has grown very dear to my heart, and I love each one of these people so much. It’s also crazy, looking at the size of the family, thinking that a whole family wasn’t able to make it (Crystal’s sister) as they live down in Florida. That said, we couldn’t have asked for a better day, with great color and no rain; it ended up turning out great. Here are some of my favorites.

Jordan & Kailee's Manito Engagement

Jordan is someone i’ve known a long time. He’s my nephew after all. I’m not 100% sure how old he was when we first met, but my guess is around seven. So being able to watch him grow up, go through high school, find a girlfriend and then get married?! Pretty darn amazing. The girl he’s found, Kailee, has also been quite the blessing. She is always ready to be part of family events and is quick to laugh and have fun. Watching them grow closer (I distinctly remember meeting her while doing Jordan’s senior photos) has been huge for me. I’m excited to be able to share their engagement photos, which are technically not engagement photos (as they are already married!) but hey, who’s counting. I hope you love them!
