When my son Isaiah turned 11, I took him on a father son trip to Rainier National Park. Now, three years later my youngest son, Judah, has turned 11 and we had the chance to go on a trip together, this time to Glacier National Park! Judah and I had decidedly better weather over the course of our two nights there, but in both cases we got at least one epic hike in. This is always such a great trip, and absolutely a core memory for me with my boys.

Read MoreI had the chance to meet Matt several years ago when I was doing some headshots for his work. One thing that became clear to me very quickly - Matt’s a kind man. He has always treated me kindly, each and every time I've run into him (which has been quite a bit now that the years have started stacking). So when he asked me to come out and photograph his family, I was excited. Not only getting to know him better, but his family was a real pleasure, and they were all so easy to talk to, helpful, and quick to laugh. I had a great time with them all, and I'm so excited that I get the chance to share some of their family photos.
Read MoreAllison and Haiden have known each other for years, because Haiden was her boss. Over that time they both were involved in relationships, serious and not serious. There was nothing between them - there couldn't be - and in addition to all that, they weren't always single anyway. Everything changed though a little over a year ago when they both were single, and Haiden was leaving his job to go do something else.
Read MoreThe first time Markus saw Michelle, she was seven lanes down at the bowling ally and he said "woah." This wasn't the first time he would meet her, it wasn't the last, but one thing that did happen? Absolutely nothing.
In the end, Michelle was - and still is - a killer bowler (as is Markus) and she even owns several 300 point games. But in this case, they became friends, but not super close friends. Fast forward a couple of years and a bunch of life changes, Markus would be walking out of Fred Meyer in CDA (which was weird for him because he lived in Spokane) and just so happen to walk by Michelle. They would talk and after standing there for about 30 minutes catching up, decide to go and get some food together.

They are a couple who was so energetic, so willing to smile, and so willing to be a part and show emotion. I loved getting to know their families, and watch them celebrate one of the best days. They are beautiful and amazing people, and I'm so excited I get to share these photos with you from their beautiful wedding at Cider Mountain in North Idaho.
