Personal Photos: Adventure to the Top of a Mountain

This mountain peak is a place i’ve had the chance to visit several times this year. It’s not an easy hike, it’s not even really a hard hike, most people may categorize it as an extremely hard hike. With over 3600 feet in elevation climb, it’s one of the biggest ones i’ve seen, and depending on who you are it could take as little as three hours to climb to the top, or as many as five. This particular time I had the chance to go up with a friend and fellow photographer Zach Nichols (who also took any of the photos i’m in myself). We had a blast sitting at the top of the mountain, gazing at God’s good creation. Going on hikes like this reminds me of the verse “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.” (Psalms 19:1)

We were pretty pumped to see a couple mountain goats when we got to the top.

It is times like this that I truly enjoy my craft. Doing things completely differently. Things are an adventure, they are unique, they are different from what i’ve done before. Even the editing process was fun, as I was only editing for myself. I hope you love the couple photos I have here of our adventure, and that it inspires you to get out, see the world, capture your adventures, love life, and bring others with you. Life is certainly too short to stay at home.
