Engagement Photography: Ted & Sara
The met online, using an app called Hitch - if I remember correctly. From what I understand, it's a lot like Tinder, but supposed to be a little more serious - for people looking for an actual relationship. Anyway, Ted liked one of Sara's photos. I asked him what were his initial impressions of her and he said she was super pretty and also loved to travel. Sara's first impression was along a similar line - Ted was a pilot (and still is!). A pretty great thing for someone who loves to travel.
So they started talking. It wasn't long though before they decided to meet in person. Now, Sara has a little boy, and so she couldn't leave him to go on a date, and she also didn't want Ted - the stranger - to come inside, so they met in her driveway. This was the location for their first three dates. Ted told me that going into that first date, he had told himself he had to leave at a certain time in order to be back in time for enough sleep. By the time he actually checked the clock, it was already WAY past that time. This was how their first three dates went. They went super well and they both were really liking each other.
Then Ted broke up with her.
Yeah. I was surprised by this one too. I asked Ted why, and basically he said that he got freaked out, he wasn't exactly sure he wanted to jump into something really serious at that time. But the thing was, as time went by, he realized more and more that he had an amazing thing with Sara, and he wanted her back. Except Sara had blocked him on all the channels. So he downloaded Hitch again and started looking for her, hoping she had got the app back.
She had. So he liked one of her pictures. Sara told me that when he liked her image she couldn't believe it - she really liked Ted, and him liking her profile seemed like a weird move for someone who didn’t' want to date her. So they started talking again, and the relationship built up really quickly. Sara said Ted went serious almost right away to which Ted confirmed. That time off helped him realize he really wanted her, and so when they started dating again it was with much more intention.
Now, they are getting married! I had a blast going with them through the snow and getting to know them better. An awesome couple, with easy smiles and some great conversation. I'm excited to be there for their wedding this next spring!
