Kevin and Abby's North Idaho Engagement

The first time they met was because Abby needed help with her car. You may think that she needed help because she is completely oblivious when it comes to cars, but she isn't - she was in mechanic school. That said, her boyfriend had a friend named Kevin who was pretty darn awesome with cars, so she face timed him. He helped her. That was it.

Stefan and Alicia's Engagement Downtown CDA

They met at a house party about ten years ago. Both of them had extremely solid first impressions, from "wow, this girl is amazing, fun, beautiful… and taken" to Alicia's first impression of Stefan being "handsome and sweet… and taken" You see, even though they both knew each other, and seemed to really get along, they were both not available when they first met. So nothing happened. In fact, they didn't talk again after that first impression for about 8 years. Through that time relationships would come and go, and things would change - but what wouldn't change would be those impressions. That one person I met a long time ago was pretty darn cool. They would see periodic updates on Facebook, but again, they wouldn't really engage.

Jeff and Nicola's Spring Engagement Near CDA

They met on Match.com. This isn't surprising these days, as almost everyone seems to meet online. I asked them what attracted them to each other's online profiles and I got an answer I hear a lot - the person looked "real" on the other end. In other words, they didn't look like the other person was trying to be fake, or put their best foot forward, they were just being themselves.

Coeur d'Alene Idaho Mountain Engagement - Aaron & Payton

They met in forth grade. Payton told me that when she first met Aaron she didn't like him - boys were weird. Aaron, on the other hand, said his first thought was "woah, she's beautiful" or something along those lines. Either way, Aaron's interest in Payton started in the fourth grade, and depending on who you talk to, it may or may not have ever stopped.

While i’m super excited to see what they do with the photos, here are just a couple of my favorites.

Sunny Winter Engagement with John and Kelly

They met at work. In fact, John trained Kelly when she first started working there. At the time, she got his attention right away, and not just because she was beautiful - but because she was "intimidating". He told me that she seems to have a strength with her he didn’t' see very often, an intelligence, and a peace about her. Kelly, for her part also vividly remembers meeting John, and she told me that he was a "rare gentleman". So one thing is clear, from the beginning, these two stood out to each other. The problem John initially had was that they never worked together, always passing each other in the hall, but he never really got to talk to her again.
