Hunter and Becca's Avondale Golf Club Engagement
They met at Costco. If we're really tracking things, Becca was kind of* his boss. Well, she was a supervisor when he started working. That said, Hunter told me that when he first saw her she caught his eye right away, and it became his mission to find a way to talk to her. Becca, for her part, also noticed the "cute red head" right away. The question wasn't "will they get together" but it was more "WHEN will they get together?"
Turns out, the "when" in this case was about three months. Over the course of those months Hunter would consistently - and cleverly find ways to get Becca to help him, or talk to him. Whatever it took. He would end up finding her on Facebook and ask her to be his friend - which she would accept.
I asked him if that was a move to try and get to know her to which he responded "absolutely yes!" - he was a man on a mission. So when he found out she loves Lama's, he sent his first message - a Lama gif. I asked Becca what she thought of that, and she said she "loved it". In other words, the "when" was just getting closer.
Eventually Hunter would just ask Becca out on a date, but she'd say no. In fact, she would say no a bunch of times in a row. This was super surprising to me, as she had said she was interested in him from the beginning, so I asked her. She said she "didn't really know, she was playing hard to get" which I found funny. Eventually, they would set up a date (to which Hunter would have to cancel - which is equally funny), but by the time they got to go on their first date, things clicked. From dinner to Lego building (such a great idea), these two hit it off.
That was four years ago, and now, after a move, some job switches, and life, these two are getting married. And MAN did I have fun getting to know them on this engagement shoot. Being at Avondale Golf Course, Hunter's favorite place in the world, and just watching these two talk, laugh, and have a great time. I'm so excited for their wedding this coming September!
