Kevin and Abby's North Idaho Engagement
The first time they met was because Abby needed help with her car. You may think that she needed help because she is completely oblivious when it comes to cars, but she isn't - she was in mechanic school. That said, her boyfriend had a friend named Kevin who was pretty darn awesome with cars, so she face timed him. He helped her. That was it.
No sparks. No "oh man, that person was really cool" or anything like that. Which is good, really, because neither of them were available at the time.
Fast forward several years, and things weren't quite the same. Kevin was going through a pretty tough part in his life, and his friend Koby said he should "text Abby" - because he knew they would go well together. Abby, was Koby's ex-girlfriend. That said, Kevin did just that and texted her something along the lines of "Hey, this is Kevin" - to which Abby responded with "who?!"
He spent some time reminding her who he was, and she said in no uncertain terms that she was NOT interested, nor was she looking. He was ok with that, he said he just wanted a friend. So that's what they became. Talking here and there, exchanging text messages and a phone call. Note, up to this point they had never seen each other. This would go like this for a while until Abby said she was "in the area" and offered to bring Kevin a coffee at work - to which he said he'd love one. This was a fairly pivotal moment for both of them, not only because it was the first time they'd actually meet in person, but also because at this point each of them - on their own - would realize they actually liked the other.
It wouldn't take long after that, first Abby would take a couple hour job on her car and make it a three day thing (she didn't have the right tool) and so she would ask Kevin. He would come help her fix it all, but they would also get some food and ice cream. A week later they would go on their first "official" date, and the rest would become history. Now they are getting married, and I get to be there to capture it all! Super excited to share these photos with you, and hopefully meet you at their wedding next summer!
