Mountaintop Elopement Photographer: Nick & Autumn Mountaintop Adventure
So calling this an elopement is more because it was a lot like that, even though it technically wasn’t an elopement. The thing we missed? Well, the wedding, as these two were married when we first met up. That said, this incredible day featured a first look, climbing a mountain and an incredible sunset and view. I absolutely loved getting to know Nick and Autumn, hearing how they met, and seeing nature in all its glory. That said, I would love to tell you a little about their story.
Nick and Autumn met in the military. The first time Nick saw Autumn, she was giving him his guns. I asked him what his thought was when he first saw Autumn, and I asked Autumn the same question. Neither of them had the most kind thoughts. These were general impressions, mind you, they hadn't talked, they didn't know each other. In this sense, they would exist next to each other, but not with each other, for over a year.
Then they would go to a party. Nick said he noticed her right away, because she was beautiful, and so he walked over there and asked to get her Snap. Autumn, thought several things about Nick, one was that he thought he was all that, that he thought he could get any girl he wanted, and that he didn’t' care - but whatever he did, he still did the right thing because she gave it to him anyway. They would chat back and forth for two days, then Nick would ghost her.
Yeah, not exactly the way I thought it was going to go either.
So Nick wouldn't talk to Autumn for a while - really until the next party. But by the time that rolled around, Nick had "got his stuff figured out" and so he went up to Autumn to talk to her again. She immediately told him that she didn't want to talk, because he had ghosted her.
I love it when someone will call someone else out.
Anyway, that was great, but did not deter him, and they would end up talking that whole night. And the next day, and the day after that. In fact, it was basically at this part where their relationship would begin, and there is something amazing about that.
I absolutely loved my time with them, climbing a mountain, spending time in this incredible place that we have been gifted, and getting to know these two. I enjoyed every minute of it. And for them, while they got married several months ago, they never really had any great photos, so this was our chance to get some incredible photos, just like it was the wedding day - minus the wedding. So excited to share these!
