Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer: Chris & DeAnna
They met online, as so many couples do these days. The thing is, there is a little bit of a disagreement as to which app they met on, so that isn't all that clear. But Chris insists that DeAnna sent her a message first, and they only talked for a little bit before deciding to get coffee. You see, for him, DeAnna seemed to have a lot of things he was looking for. From her profile, she seemed kind, professional, steady, and not looking for the next party down the road. She was someone he could see himself with for a long time. For DeAnna, she was a little less sure about Chris, he wasn't creepy and he looked like a "normal" dude, which is saying something in the online dating space. Both very important things.
So they went to coffee. By all accounts it went well, but it wasn't something that they both went home to tell their best friend about. For DeAnna, she specifically remembers Chris NOT walking her to her car. She thought that was very weird, but she decided to give him another chance. I asked Chris about this - why would he just walk away - and he said he was trying to not hover or be creepy, rather he just said goodbye and left so that he didn't make it feel weird (he did walk her to her car on the second date, though).
Anyway, it was these two kind people, getting to know each other, and being willing to step out and say "I'm going for it" that brought them together. They are both great people, kind and thoughtful, and I really enjoyed running through the snow with them to get some amazing engagement photos. I am pumped for their wedding coming up here in early April, and I am so happy I have the chance to share these engagement photos with you now.
