North Idaho Engagement: Mike & Kendra’s Winter Engagement
Mike and Kendra met like so many other people do. On Tinder. So these two amazing people swiped right on each other. I asked them what caused that swipe. Mike said not only did love the way she looked but also how she was active, outdoors, and seemed so genuine. Kendra told me that she thought Mike was sexy - well, not in those exact terms but you get the idea.
Mike was the first one to send a message and a couple days after matching they would go out to coffee. It went very well. On Mikes side, he was digging on Kendra, she was funny, easy to get along with, beautiful, and had an infectious smile. I asked him what he was thinking after that first meeting, and he said he as “absolutely” thinking about how Kendra could be his “future wife”.
Kendra wasn’t quite there yet. She was a little unsure, as she felt Mike was a little quite, and it took several dates for his personality to really start showing through. But what really did it for her was about 5 months later. She couldn’t make it home for Christmas and her spending Christmas alone was a “no go” for Mike. So he took the big step and invited her over to his parents house for Christmas. It was here, in the home he grew up in, that Kendra saw her future husband. If this was how he was with his family, she knew he was the guy for her. It would only be another 6 months before Mike would ask her to marry him, and now in several months that’s going to happen! I’m so excited to be with them at Beacon Hill to celebrate and can’t wait to show you the pictures!
