Spokane Photographer: Eli Looyenga's Senior Photos
When I was in high school, around 15 years old my parents got my brothers and I together (I have an older brother - who is two years older than me, and a younger brother - who is two years younger than me) and told us some news - my parents were pregnant (on purpose!). They told us that we were so amazing, that they wanted to do it all again (yeah, we’re THAT awesome). So my youngest brother, Eli, was born.
As he grew up life kept going, I got a job, I went to college, I got married, had my own kids, etc. All the while my brother grew up. During that time my relationship with him would ebb and flow. When I was in school, I didn’t see him very much, but over the last 7 years or so i’ve spent a lot more time with him. He’s been a part of the small group I lead, he’s played football with me, and many hours of video games. He’s someone i’ve truly grown to enjoy. It’s been amazing watching him grow (and geez, did he grow), not just in stature, but in who he is, what he loves, what he cares about. He has grown into my friend. So being able to be the person that can take pictures of him, capture him as a senior, in this phase of his life, was a huge privilege for me. I hope you guys love them.
