Sometimes I think I sound like a broken record, but the problem is it’s true every year. Every year someone who hired me last year, and hires me again to take photos of their family is something that truly honors me, something I see as one of the biggest compliments. You see, people’s families are a central part of who they are, and for many, it is the single more important thing to them in the world. So to. be told “I want you to photograph my family” is such an incredible honor.
Read MoreI’ve been taking photos professionally for over twelve years (woah!) now, and one of the things that has started to hit me more and more these days is how incredible it is to follow people and their lives. The Alegreto family is a great example of this, as I had the chance to photograph Arianna’s senior photos, and then I was able to photograph her sisters senior photos (and college grad photos!). All the while meeting the family and getting to know them. Then Arianna got married to an awesome dude named Carson, and I had the chance to do their engagement photos and wedding (which you can see here! So when they asked me to do family photos I was so excited. Carson and Arianna now have a beautiful baby, and Ashley is engaged! So many amazing things, and being able to see this family grow, and new families start, is such an amazing honor. So here is this beautiful growing family - what a privilege it is to share these photos.
Read MoreTo say I’m a huge fan of the Pavlin’s is an understatement. And really, “Pavlin” is only a small portion of this beautiful family, but they were my main contact so that’s what I’m going with! Anyway, I’ve had the chance to get to know this whole family over the course of the last twelve years (which blows my mind) but much more so over the last seven or so. Chris and Bryanna are to people I consider friends, and love spending time with. It’s been a huge joy of mine to not only photograph their engagement out in Seattle, but also their wedding, and their family photos, and their other family photos, and their other family photos - I think you get the idea. It is insane to me to watch a family grow up, and it is such an incredible honor to be there at each amazing step.
Read MoreI had the chance to meet this wonderful family on a couple days after Christmas. When everyone was together (coming from all over the country - and in some cases, across the ocean) there was absolutely an air of comroderie, family, and general enjoyment in the home. I had a blast being a part of it, and getting to know each of the family units inside of this much larger family. Great people and energy is always something I love to capture, and I hope you see it’s evidence here.
Read MoreI had only met Jessica and her family one time, and it was at her sisters wedding. So when I found out the whole family was going to be at this winter shoot I was very excited. Not just because I was going to have the chance to see some old clients who I think very highly of, but because I remember her family being so kind. This is still true, they are kind, thoughtful, and so easy to get along with. This is the third time I was out at their home to take photos, and the sixth time I’ve had at least one of them at one of my shoots (shout out to Will and Britta!) but it’s easy to say that every time has been so enjoyable. I hope you love these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Read MoreI first met Jordan and Bailey during an insane snow storm several years ago as we did their engagement photos. I’ve thought about that moment many times since, not just because of how much snow we got, but how pleasant and great Jordan and Bailey were in such a crazy situation. Since then I’ve had the chance to capture their beautiful wedding, and even their family photos when their daughter was only several months old. What an honor it is, and how much fun it was, getting to capture them again as their family continues to grow (and this time also in the freezing cold and snow). So excited to share these with you, and I hope you love them!
