Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer: Max & Brittany
In short they met because they went to Police Academy together. Both Max and Brittany are State Police Troopers. But really the story is so much more than that. A month or so before they were to begin their training, their instructor added all the people that would be in the class to one big private facebook group. Really, it's through this that Max and Brittany would first interact and start talking. One thing led to another and Max would drive up to the Coeur d'Alene area to meet Brittany and get to know her better.
Now I asked Max if his intentions were purely to make friends, or if he was perhaps looking for more than that. This is the same question Brittany's friends asked when they found out he was coming up. But even in hindsight, Max says that he really was just looking to get to know Brittany better, and hoped to make a friend going into the Academy. He said he was very impressed with her though and who she was. Smart, capable, independent, and beautiful - all things he wanted in a girl. Brittany, for her part, thought the whole thing "may go that way" but she really wasn't looking for a relationship.
Over the four days they would hang out, spend time together, go swimming, go out to eat, all the good stuff. Max said he first felt a "spark" on the 4th and final day, they went out to eat and it actually felt like a date. Two days later Brittany would text him and tell him she wasn't looking for a boyfriend, and that she was wanting to focus on the Academy.
So school would start, and it was down in Boise - where Max is from. Because Brittany had been so kind in showing him around CDA, he figured he would show her around Boise, so he invited her out. She would join. In fact, they would hang out every weekend Brittany was down there. When Max invited her out to Oregon for a trip, it would be pivotal for them, because it was on this trip they would both finally admit that they liked each other. This was almost five years ago now, and these two have gone from friends, to together, and now they want to make sure it's together forever. I'm so excited to be there at their wedding, but until then I hope you love their engagement photos!
