Dan and Lisa's Downtown Spokane Rainy Engagement

They first met because of a roommate. Dan and Lisa were invited to join some friends in a escape room, and on the way to pick everyone up, Dan decided he needed to get a pumpkin (you know, for a house warming gift - because, why wouldn’t you?) Looking out from the window Lisa told me she saw Dan and her first thoughts were "oh man, he's actually really cute" but that was a problem, because she wasn't read - at all. So according to her, she went and hid in the kitchen.

So Dan walks into the house with a pumpkin, and even though he was assured by all his friends it was a horrible idea, it was a big hit with all the ladies. Lisa came out of hiding and Dan got his very first impression of her "Tall. Blond." is what he told me were his first thoughts. Lisa would then go get ready and his next thoughts would be "And cleans up nice". They would go have fun at the escape room (horror themed) and being a friendship. There wasn’t really a point where they "started dating" (thus their anniversary is up to some debate) but in the end, they realized, "hey, we're together". That said, it was before that moment that both of them would realize "this person could actually be someone I'd marry".

It's such a cool experience, watching and listening to two people tell their story, laugh at old moment, and just be together. It's one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Dan and Lisa's engagement in the early morning downtown Spokane was beautiful, and I'm so excited to share these with you!
