Engagement Photographers in Idaho: Vlad & Caitlyn

Vlad and Caitlyn have such a cool story. They met because Vlad started working at a horse riding school for special needs students (at least, if I remember right, that's what it was). Either way, horses were involved, and teaching. Well, one of those teachers was Caitlyn.

So often in story's like this, I hear that they worked together and sparks fly right away, or the opposite happens - they hate each other. In this case, neither of those happened. In fact, nothing really happened at all. They worked together, but never really talked much. All that changed one winter evening when Caitlyn's horse kicked a fence and got a deep gash on it's leg, cutting all the way down to the bone. Naturally Caitlyn was out there with her horse, blood spewed all over the white snow, trying to take care of her horse. Vlad was there and being the kind of guy he is, he decided to stay with her.

That night was the first night they really "talked" and it caught the eye of all of their coworkers. The "did you see Vlad and Caitlyn?" questions went around pretty quickly, and it wasn't long before the two would be fielding questions and ideas along the lines of "you should date!"

For both of them though, that wasn't really in the cards. You see, initially Vlad though Caitlyn was married (she had a ring on - albeit on the wrong hand - that led him to that belief) and Caitlyn had many friends that were guys, and having another one wasn't anything of particular note.

They did have a lot of things in common though, and genuinely enjoyed each other's company. It wouldn't take long for Vlad to realize Caitlyn wasn't married, but that didn't change much for him either - she was just a friend. This would continue to be true for quite some time, they would do things friends do (I pointed out that those things looked a lot like dates, but they insisted that it wasn't like that).

One day the two met up to go on a drive, and this drive is notable because it was on this drive that Caitlin realized that she was starting to like Vlad more than just a friend. It was a gradual thing from there, but this worried her, because she knew Vlad viewed her only as a friend. This brings us to their trip to the Liberty Lake loop, where they brought a hammock out there and were just hanging out in the forest. It was in this moment that Vlad realized her liked her more than a friend as well, and instead of sitting on it, he told her, terrified that she wouldn't like him back (after all, she had a lot of friends that were guys).

She did, and it was at this point that they would start to date. This was roughly three years ago. In between these two, who started out as just friends, have grown more and more in their friendship, and are now getting married! I'm so excited to be there for their wedding, and I'm excited I get the chance to share these photos with you today!
