Marc & Amber's Engagement in Manito Park

They met 22 years ago at a conference. It was 1999, and they came together as a group of professionals, and Marc and Amber hit it off. They talked a lot over the course of the four day conference, but in the end, they would go home back to their lives. No numbers were exchanged, and because it was 1999, that also meant that's about where the potential to build on a friendship ended. They would end up seeing each other one more time a year later, and be reminded at just how well they fit - how well they got along - but again, that would end.

Engagement in Manito

Fast forward 20 some years and Marc would be on LinkedIn and Amber would come up as a "possible connection". He remembered her instantly - she was the girl that got away. The girl that he always thought was absolutely beautiful, engaging and with an incredible smile, that just wouldn't happen.

So he did what no one else these days would do - he called her. Yes, no texting, no messaging, no app swiping, Marc picked up the phone and called Amber's office - and got her assistant. He did this for three days, and each time, assistant only. He began to think that maybe she just didn't want to talk. Maybe she didn't remember him. Then on the fourth day, he called and got a stand-in assistant, who didn't know better to not transfer him over - so she did.

It took Amber less than a minute to remember Marc the "WSU guy". While she couldn’t at work, she did call him that evening and they would talk for over four hours. To say they hit it off would be an understatement.

It was only three days later when both of them would start to think "this is it, this is the person I'm going to marry". That moment would happen in the exact spot we went to for their engagement photos - overlooking Spokane. I hope you love these, and I'm so excited to be there in September for their beautiful wedding!
