Spokane Engagement Photos: Jared & Kat's Manito Engagement
Jared and Kat have such a cool story. They met at a Halloween party their mutual friend was throwing. The thing is, they both didn't really PLAN to be there. Jared found himself deciding to randomly go to the party at around 11:30 at night after his day had completely finished. Kat on the other hand, found herself at the party after visiting a cemetery and talking to the high grounds keeper (Dave) who was "incredibly nice". She said that her friends invited her over, and she figured "why not?"
A couple of shots later Jared would walk through the door sporting his random costume and Kat would immediately fall in love. That is, she was attracted to him immediately anyway. These two would play Apples to Apples (except the adult version) that night, flirting ALL night. Neither of them really realized it though, and when Kat got up to go Jared's friend whispered to him "if you don't get her number, you're an idiot" or something to that effect.
So Jared got up, went to Kat and asked her if he could give her his number, and also got her number. Now, traditionally you're supposed to wait a couple days to text someone - don't want to seem to eager - but Jared threw caution to the wind and texted her the next morning. Kat told me that when he did that her "heart skipped a beat" and so began their relationship. They would text every day - all day - after that, until day three rolled around when they would go on their first date. That was seven years ago. Since then they have become better and better friends, they have grown in their relationship, they have lived together, and now their ready to get married!
