Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photos: Zach & Chelsea

It all started with a business card. But seriously. Zach saw this incredible woman across the room at a work  recruiting event. I asked him his motivation for walking up to her, and he said it simply “she was hot.” Chelsea, for her part, said that he was the “hottest guy she’d ever seen” but thought she had no chance because he was “way out of her league.” Zach didn’t even think she was looking for the type of job he needed, but he figured he’d try anyway.

What’s so cool about Zach and Chelsea’s story, is that they both were super into each other right away. And so when Chelsea started working at Zach’s work (she got the job) both of them were eyeing each other from day one. Chelsea would tell her friends that she “met her husband” and what is incredibly cool is that Zach would tell his friends the same thing - before they had even started dating.

Because of the interest, Zach would purposefully try and find ways to get Chelsea to work the same jobs as him. But things really kicked off when the two were “forced” to drive together for a job about an hour and a half away. The drive is where they really clicked, they talked the whole time, learned about each other, flirted (I’m sure) and learned that both of them shared some of the same passions. Turns out, Chelsea had already gotten a bow tag to hunt antelope that year, and Zach had just gotten his as well. So their first date was them hunting together.

This is to this day one of their favorite things to do together, and it’s even how Zach asked her to marry him. After they got a kill last year, Chelsea was checking out her kill when Zach got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Zach and Chelsea are awesome. They are so quick to laugh, easy to talk to, and clearly just love being with each other. I loved being able to be there for their engagement, and I’m SO excited to be there on their wedding day!
