Coeur d'Alene Engagement: Si & Jasmine

They met online, using an app called Hinge. I asked Jasmine what the difference was between things like Bumble and Tinder, and she said that Hinge had more in depth questions on the profile's, meaning you could see more about what that person wanted, and who they were, than you could on the other apps. The thing was, when both Si and Jasmine got in the app, they had terrible luck. No good matches, no good people (at least, for them).

Turns out, neither of them COULD see each other, as they had filtered each other out because of preferences they thought were important to them - turns out they weren't. The day they switched their preferences they were matched, and Si wrote Jasmine a message. It was a long message.

Jasmine was surprised and delighted by this, she said she was like "oh wow, someone wants to talk! I'm not getting one word answers!" and they quickly setup a date.

Dates are where things often go wrong, and Jasmine told me that in the past she had often over-shared, and it led to the guys running for the hills, so she decided she was going to be quite this time. Of all the times, she didn't need to be. Si told her his story, he was engaging and had a great smile, and once he was done telling her his story, he looked at her like "ok, your turn".

It was this point where things really could have gone one way or the other, Jasmine could have stayed quite, stayed on the surface, or she could follow her gut and open up to him - she followed her gut. They had an awesome first date, and it was only three days later Si would ask her to be his girlfriend for real. Six months later, these two were engaged. It's an incredible story, even knowing where they have come from, finding each other and building a family together is something that is awesome.

I absolutely loved getting to know Si and Jasmine better, but also getting to meet the kids that will be a part of their new family. I can't wait to show you their wedding photos.
