Engagement Photos in North Idaho: Robert & Nicole
Robert and Nicole met in high school. They even had a couple classes together. Now what often happens when I hear stories of couples that met in high school, either that couple dated, were good friends or somewhere in between. In this case, they never talked. They existed in the same space, but they both were "socially awkward" is the way I think they put it to me.
Fast forward a couple years later and Nicole and Robert saw each other at the bar. Robert had "filled out" since high school and Nicole found him quite attractive, so she went over and talked with him. Robert thought that she was just saying hi to "be nice" and that she would quickly move on. That didn't happen however (this was the last bar of the night) and they went to the bar together to get a drink. This then led to some dancing, which then led to their first kiss (all in roughly 10 minutes). Needless to say, both of them got along pretty well that night, and they exchanged some phone numbers. Robert would call her two days later so they could go on their first official date.
Deadpool - that was the movie they went to see together. They couldn’t' sit close because the theaters seating was those "large lounge chairs" that made cuddling or even being kind of close almost impossible. But Nicole admired Robert's kindness in not making a move the whole time. They kept it simple that day, and went home after the movie.
A couple days alter, they went to a dinner for their second date, and this is when things really started to hit it off. They really enjoyed talking with each other, and both of them quickly became very much in love with each other. So much so, that they are getting married! They've asked me to be there to capture them, but man, what an awesome couple to photograph. Kind, thoughtful, and I love photographing people like that. See you there!
