Idaho Mountaintop Engagement: Alex & Julie's Adventure
The first time they saw each other, was also their first date. Alex came into it knowing two things - Julie's first name, and her phone number. Julie had a little more on her side, with a friend who knew Alex, and so she had his Facebook page and other social media outlets to see what she was getting into - plus the word of her friend (who gave Alex a glowing review). It was all this that made Julie much less worried going into and, and much more comfortable on their first date - which went extraordinarily well.
Both Alex and Julie were extremely tired of the games that dating brings and were looking for serious relationships. Because of this, their conversations on that first date weren't of no consequence, instead, they asked hard questions, and really tried to decide if the person sitting across from them was someone that was actually worth a serious relationship with. As I said, the first date went very well and was immediately followed up by a second date (literally, the next day).
I asked why it was so fast, and the and the answer was for the same reason the first date was so serious. If this thing was for real, they wanted to know. The second date (featuring some mediocre Chinese food and some Christmas lights at Manito Park) was also a huge hit, and it was settled, these two were in a relationship.
Then Julie left.
Well, she left to go see her family for the holidays - yeah, not quite as dramatic as I made it sound. But the truth is, this meant they would spend a good couple weeks apart, and they spent most of it texting. The biggest break through for both of them, when they realized that this wasn't just "any old relationship" was on new years eve. Julie came over and they spent the night together playing games and just having a good time. It was this night that they realized the other was special, the other was different. Clearly - they were right.
These two braved the top of a mountain with me, the crazy ways it took to get to the top, and they laughed and had a good time with me while doing it. Engagement photos at the top of a mountain are not always easy, but these two made it worth it. I am so happy with how these turned out, and I can't wait to be there at their wedding this month! I hope you enjoy the engagement photos as much as I did taking them.
