Mount Spokane Engagement: Tyler & Daniele
They met in class. Tyler first noticed her when she came walking into class - frazzled and in a hurry. It was an early morning class, and getting there on time is a challenge for anyone. What they quickly realized, however, was that they both lived in the same apartment building. And would soon start car pooling with each other to various things. But I'm jumping ahead here, because Daniele never really noticed Tyler in class - it wasn't until a pool party later that they were both at that she noticed the "mysterious" man, things she had heard about but hadn't actually known were true.
Eventually they would become friends, they would talk at school and ride together to things. Daniele would pick Tyler and her roommate up if they needed rides, and a friendship would grow. Tyler would gain an interest in her first - but not make a strong move right away. It would happen when he brought a tool up to Daniele's apartment for her (he needed to borrow it) and ended up sitting right next to her (quite closely, at that). Daniele didn't move. She told me she though "wow, he's sitting quite close" to which I pointed out "you also didn't get up to "get some water" or anything like that. But for Tyler, this was a big moment. This was when he knew - for sure - that Daniele was something beyond a friend.
It took Daniele a bit longer (if I remember correctly). She was supposed to fly home for Christmas but her flight got delayed. Then it got delayed again - and again. Tyler in hearing this turned his car around (he was driving home) and went straight to the airport to pick her up (at this point he definitely liked her). Daniele didn't even know he had turned around, but when her flight got delayed again to the next day, and she had no ride - Tyler was there waiting. It was at this time, that Daniele realized Tyler was something pretty special - more than just a friend. All of a sudden, she didn't really WANT to go back home for Christmas. It would only be a couple weeks later that they would start dating officially, and now they are going to get married! I had so much fun with these two, from hanging out with them, learning about them and just exploring cool places. I'm so excited to be a part of their wedding next year.
