Rainy Christmas Engagement with Jared and Aubrey
They met in college. At the time, Aubrey had a boyfriend, so Jared and her didn't really talk much. Her first thought of Jared was that he was "a little nerdy" to which Jared said was "fair" and that he was the guy that "knew Hebrew" - which Ironically he didn't know much then - although he knows much more now. Jared, for his part, didn't really notice Aubrey much - he said he purposefully kept his distance because he knew she had a boyfriend.
Over time Aubrey would notice one thing about Jared that would stand out to him - his chivalry. That seemed to stand apart from him more than anything else. And so, when Aubrey had broken up with her boyfriend you these two were drawn to each other. Initially it was little things, but it was only a couple of weeks out of her relationship she would start to notice Jared even more, but she knew she wasn't ready for something else.
Jared was trying to give her space, and he had only started to notice her as potentially more than a friend, but he would start inviting her to a lot of things. They would hang out, talk, and spend time together. It was maybe two months in Aubrey would be doing a puzzle on the floor when Jared asked her what she was doing - and then invited himself over to spend time with her. This was a turning point. It was a this point, they would start to do a lot of things together that sure LOOK like dates (even though they technically weren't). Puzzle and a movie, for example, or card games, and many other things.
Three months later they were officially dating. And now they are getting married! Being able to be there, and be a part, is huge for me. Not only are these two amazing, but Jared is someone I have known, and loved, for many years. I've had the chance to have him over at my house countless times, and we've spent lots of time together. To see him now, to be there in this moment of his, is a huge privilege, and I can not wait to capture their wedding photos.
