Sean and Tyler's Rainy Engagement Downtown Coeur d'Alene

They met as so many other couples do these days - in an app. Sean told me that he was first drawn to Tyler because she "seemed like a normal, genuine, human" which is not very common in the dating apps. In their case though, it was on Bumble, which means the girl needs to reach out. So Tyler reached out to Sean and said something like "Oh you play music? That's awesome! What do you play?" Which immediately grabbed Sean.

Tyler, for her part, loved the fact that he played music (as she also did growing up) and saw it as a common ground area. Further, he also seemed like a normal guy - which again, is hard to find. So they started chatting, and did so for several weeks. Tyler loved how Sean was doing social work in addition to playing music (you can see him often playing at Chalice, in Coeur d'Alene). So when their first date came around they both came into it with a little hesitation. Tyler, worried that Sean may be too good to be true, and Sean, worried that Tyler is also too good to be true.

Turns out, they hit it off huge. Tyler told me that she knew during that first date that Sean was going to be the guy she would marry. Sean wasn't so fast, and by the time the third date rolled around he was convinced that she was too good for him. So he told her that. She replied "ok, well, if you don't think you're good enough for me, we can stop talking" or something along those lines. It kind of shocked Sean out of it, and made him realize just how great Tyler was, how genuine. So about 12 hours after breaking up with her, Sean came back and was like "uhhh, can I have another chance?" - and really, the rest is history. It wouldn’t' be that much longer when Sean would write a song about Tyler, and looking at her with a mouth full of candy he would realize "wow, I love this girl".

Such an awesome couple, so kind, thoughtful, and very easy to talk to. I absolutely enjoyed my time with them in the wind, rain, and slightly cold fall weather. But I am absolutely excited to share these photos with you, and to be there at their wedding this coming summer!
