Spokane Engagement Photographer: Paul & Lela's Engagement
They met online. It wasn't one of those things where they both downloaded the app/created the profile and the first person they found was "the one". In fact, both Paul and Lela had some pretty bad experiences. It just wasn't what they hoped it would be. Well, a couple days before Lela deleted her profile she got a message from a dude named Paul. He didn't do the typical things like "Sup girl" or "hey." instead, he actually wrote a meaningful, thoughtful message to her. Unsurprisingly, it worked.
They began to talk. They both had a lot in common (love the outdoors, biology, wildlife, etc) and things seemed to be going really well. For Lela, one of the biggest moments was when she told Paul she would be out of service for about 6 weeks because of her work. He responded with 'sounds great, text me when you're back!" - he actually understood what her work could call her to do. It was after this trip (roughly 4 months after their first messages to each other) that they would meet for the first time.
A slightly awkward walk aside, things went super well. These two loved spending time together, talking and it didn't take long for things to become more and more serious. Only a couple weeks after that first in-person meeting did they start to date officially. That was four years, many hikes and adventures ago, and now these two are ready to jump onto the biggest adventure yet - marriage. Next year they will be telling everyone they want to be married, that they want to be with each other and no other, and it's going to be beautiful. I can't wait to photograph it.
