Every once in a while I get the privilege of photographing some people I know. And in this case, that was half true. I’ve had the privilege of knowing several members of the Cypher family (Ezra and his sister Eliza) over the last couple of years as I am the youth pastor at the youth group they go to. I’ve had Ezra over to my house, and beaten him in a football game (he may be taller than me, but don’t discount my old-man muscle). So getting to meet the whole family, watch them interact, and get to know them more myself was absolutely awesome. So excited to share these photos, and definitely looking forward to the next time!
Read MoreI had the chance to meet the Lawyer family for the first time when we met at this shoot. They were immediately kind, easy to talk to, and ready for some fun shots. They were only up in this area for a little bit, so I'm glad we could find a time to make it all happen, and I'm so happy we ended up with such a beautiful day for it (just barely missed the smoke!). Here are some of my favorites.
Read MoreI’m not a morning person, but that does’t mean mornings aren’t magical. And that was reinforced to me when I woke up at 3:30am to drive out and meet the Srikureja family for some absolutely amazing family photos near their home in Spokane. The whole family was so kind, and it was awesome to be able to get to know more of them the day before I saw them all at a wedding the next day. We had a blast, and I'm so happy with how it all turned out.
Read MoreThe first time I met the Collins family was when I met them for their shoot. Visiting from out of town (on one of the busiest weekends this whole summer) they were immediately kind, easy to talk to, and had lots of personality (Looking at you Roy!) I had a blast with them, and I'm so excited to share some highlights form their family shoot.
Read MoreIt is hard for me to over state how much I enjoy the Odeh family. Being able to be there for their engagement photos, wedding photos, maternity photos, and family photos as this family has grown into a family of five is absolutely amazing. There is something special about these people that makes being with them, watching them laugh, and watching their family grow that is such an incredible privilege. The thing that struck me this spring evening was just how much they remembered about my life.
Read MoreBeing able to photograph families is one of my favorite things. Watching them interact, watching them laugh, joke, and get along really shows me a lot of what a family is about. The Galloway family is special. They clearly get along, but even more clearly love each other. I had a blast capturing them and their interactions, but also seeing them again (as I had the chance to photograph Derek and Stephanie’s wedding a couple of years ago).. Hope you love the photos from this late winter family shoot!
