Destination Photographer: Nick & Brianna's Incredible Cliffside Mexico Wedding

I love what I wrote in the blog below. I love the photos, the couple, their story. But if you want to see (and HEAR) more from their wedding day, you need to see the Photo Story, which you can watch in the video below.

I worked with Nick in what feels like a long time ago. We parked cars together. He was someone I always enjoyed working with—he was easy to talk to, relatable, kind, hard working (which is one of the most important factors in a good coworker). We even went snowboarding together once. We both ended up leaving pretty sore, if I remember correctly, as we both hit a jump a little too hard, a little too fast. Then he left to become a real estate agent. In that time I started taking a lot of photos and Nick started selling houses. Then I met Brianna, the energetic, kind, super charismatic manager at Beverly’s, one of the best restaurants in Coeur d’Alene, because I was taking some pictures of their food, drinks, and rooms. She was making Bev’s a top-notch place. I loved going up there. Whether eating for my wife’s birthday, or just working, she made life easy for me.

At some point in there Nick and Brianna started dating (if you want to hear more about that, you should go check out their engagement blog) and I got to know them as a couple. Over the years Nick sold us our house, and they showed up at some pretty awesome weddings. So when they asked me to come down to Mexico with them and capture their wedding, in one of the most beautiful places on earth, I couldn’t have been more excited. I loved exploring the town, the beach, the colors, and the incredible sunsets they have. But even more so, I loved the people. Every single person I met in Mexico was amazing, from the random meetings at dinner to the pool party, I loved their family and friends. It was great to meet the people they know and love the most.

So when their wedding rolled around the next day (after the pool party), I knew so many more people, and it made that day even more incredible. Their wedding day was filled with laughs, touching moments (first look, I’m talking about you), and the I-could-do-this-forever feeling the dancing left at the end of the day. In capturing this destination wedding, we took more photos than at any other wedding we’ve ever photographed, and as a result, this blog is possibly the longest I’ve ever made. Sorry, not sorry. When you get a sunset like we had, when you have the people that we did, when you have moments like this wedding was chock-full of, we can’t help but capture it, love it, and share it. So here’s to an amazing couple and a beautiful wedding in an incredible place. I hope you love the photos as much as I do.
