Spokane Wedding Photographers: Eric & Kayleigh's September Snowstorm Wedding
I knew when I arrived at Kayleigh’s house the morning of September 28th that this wedding wasn’t going to be like any September wedding I had before. There was about 2 inches of fresh snow on the ground, and the snow was coming in sideways at that moment. It was cold, it was super rainy, and it was supposed to be an outdoor wedding.
This is something that speaks so strongly to Eric and Kayleigh. They day was what most brides would consider “the worst possible scenario” with the clouds, the snow, the cold. But I didn’t see that from them. Kayleigh was always so quick to laugh, and game for the crazy photos we thought up (which turned out incredible, in my opinion). They got wet, they got cold, they had snow in their face (my face too, for the record). It was a crazy day. But at no point was it a bad day. In fact, it was filled with people ready to help, laughing, having fun, and just having a good time. It was an amazing day.
Wedding day’s like this September wedding can go several ways, and this one went the best possible way. It aloud us to create something drastically different and original, something that is almost impossible to recreate (you get a steaming lake, with fall colors and snow capped trees while snow falls to the ground on purpose), but at the same time those moments that you always remember, the laughter, the tears of joy, those were there, and they made the day exactly what I was hoping it would always be.
I loved battling the elements (and the foggy lenses) to be there for Eric and Kayleigh’s wedding. It was beautiful and incredible, and i’m so excited to be able to share these photos with you today. :)
