I met the Lamb family for the first time when we met for this shoot. They have two boys who remind me a lot of my boys - wanting to run, jump and play - just a couple years younger than mine. It made for a good time, with a mix of adventures and utilizing some of the boys’ ideas for photos, while also getting some I knew they would all like. Mix in the very kind and thoughtful grandparents, and I love how this shoot turned out. Not to mention getting an incredible day. Here are some of my favorites!
Read MoreSometimes I think I sound like a broken record, but the problem is it’s true every year. Every year someone who hired me last year, and hires me again to take photos of their family is something that truly honors me, something I see as one of the biggest compliments. You see, people’s families are a central part of who they are, and for many, it is the single more important thing to them in the world. So to. be told “I want you to photograph my family” is such an incredible honor.
Read MoreI can’t decide if this was the third or fourth time i’ve had the chance to photograph Nora, but each and every time has been a blessing. The things i’m seeing now as she has gotten older (almost 11!) is the women peeking out from inside. She has a mix of playful girl and spunky teenager in her and it’s a lot of fun to see both. Here are some photos from our recent shoot together, showing off a little of both sides.
Read MoreI feel like I speak about this often, but that’s really because of how much it impacts me. The idea that I could meet a couple before they get married, be there for their engagement photos, wedding photos, and then family photos - and then year over year watch that family grow, blows my mind. It’s such an honor, and it is so fun seeing these amazing people again. The Epperson’s were wonderful when they got married, and now as a family of five they continue to be that way. What an honor to be able to photograph this family, and i’m so excited to share these with you.
Read MoreWe had a summer that extended well into fall. It felt like we had sun and 70 degree weather almost all the way to November. That said, it did end, and we ended up getting a bunch of rain (and now snow). Well, the Miller’s family photo shoot landed on a very rainy day. That said, we still had some absolutely beautiful fall colors, and some incredible views. These guys were ready for anything, and even though it was pouring on us I think what we got not only looks incredible, but also fairly dry! I absolutely loved meeting the Millers, and I am so excited that I get to share these photos of this amazing family.
Read MoreIt was a couple years ago I was photographing a wedding up on a mountain near Sandpoint Idaho (shout out to Sam and Shay!) when I met Jake and Allie. They were kind, thoughtful, quick to help, and had only recently been married (if I remember right no more than a year, but I’m not super sure). Anyway, the point is I really enjoyed their company, so when Allie reached out to me to see if I would photograph her growing family, I was excited! Not only do I enjoy talking with them, but any chance you get to capture a moment in a young family’s growth is huge. Kids change so fast, and being able to photograph them, capture them as they are is always so valuable. So here’s the Hubble family, I hope you love them as much as I loved taking them!
