I had the chance to meet Kelsey at a wedding in Spokane earlier this year. While we didn’t get to talk too much, I was so excited when I got an email from her later saying she loved my style and wanted me to capture her and her beautiful boy. There’s something so awesome about capturing the smaller family units, as you get more time to get unique and candid photos. I hope you love these fall family photos!
Read MoreEvery time I interact with the Emery family it’s a blessing. I could go back to sophomore year of high school when Sarah was my prom date, or even further back to 8th grade when I worked with Josh at Senior Froggy (RIP CDA location). I could go back to the time I spent with Tyler at North Idaho College during lunch, or when Josh beat me (handily) in the CDA half marathon. Or even the chance I had about five years ago to photograph this entire (growing) family. In every instance, it has been a blessing, a joy, to talk with this fine group of people. They are kind, thoughtful, quick to laugh, and have easy smiles. I love talking with them, and it is an incredible honor that they have picked me again to photograph their family - the thing that is most valuable to us in our lives. I hope you love these!
Read MoreWhat is there to say about the Rhodes family aside from what you see on this blog? Two kind, thoughtful parents, with four children that are quick to laugh, even quicker with a goofy face, and all of whom seem incredibly happy. My time with them was a blast, between watching the siblings play, to watching their parents be totally willing to join in. Their family photo shoot was not only enjoyable for me, but I think that joy translated so well in these photos. I’ve been excited to share these with you, I hope you love them!
Read MoreAnother shoot from our associate photographer Dan! Here’s what he had to say about his time with the Buckland. “Long laughs and great conversations, make spending time with this incredible family so worth it! I had the fantastic privilege of meeting the Buckland family for a family photoshoot at Lake Pend Oreille. When Tad and Audrey aren’t steadily hard at work, they love to soak up every moment of family time biking, hitting the winter slopes and everything else with their son Luke and family furry doodle companion, Braxton. Braxton’s love for attempting to “hug” every duck in sight made for the best addition to a great shoot! Hanging out with this family was a joyful and warming experience, experiencing the love they have for each other, never taking anything too seriously, their joyful attitudes, and how they soak up and enjoy every moment together. Easy laughs, tons of smiles, and lots of chasing ducks. (Braxton’s contribution).”
Read MoreA long time ago, in what feels like another life, I had just moved out of my parents house with my brother into a house we had bought together. A home we couldn’t pay for by ourselves, so one of my brothers best friends moved in with us, his name was Mike Murley. I knew Mike because we went to the same school together (shout out to Falls Christian! - RIP) and because he was my brothers best friend. We were roommates. Then I left and went to school, Mike met his now wife Mindy, and we didn’t talk.
Read MoreI only met the Kernodle family last year when I had the chance to do their family photos. But since then I’ve seen them more than once and every time it’s the same - two people who are kind, thoughtful, easy to talk to and quick to laugh. So I was very much looking forward to capturing their family - always such an honor to be asked again - and I’m SO excited to be able to share these with you! This wasn’t a long photo shoot, but I am sure happy with what we got. I hope you love them!
