The first time they met they worked together. Alex didn’t' work the same shifts and Krystal, and so they didn’t actually see each other very much. Now you may not know this about Krystal, but she loves to talk to people and say hi to everyone. So when she said "hi" to alex as they passed each other on the shift change, he didn't really respond. He wasn't trying to be rude, he just didn't respond with the same energy that she had.

So it didn't take long before these two started to carpool together to school. They would become friends - best friends. In the winter they found out that both of them loved to Ski, and would head up to Schweitzer with their group of friends - they of course would ride together (coming from Coeur d'Alene as they were).
