I only had the chance to spend a little bit of time with this amazing family. Not only are they beautiful, but we got an incredible day as well. I would say these photos look deceptive to how cold it actually was, but the day was beautiful, and I loved visiting with them. Family photos are always something I really enjoy photographing and the Davis Family helped remind me why.
Read MoreOne of the coolest things about being a wedding photographer is that so often you get to be there when it all starts. Doing engagement photos you get to hear the couples story - how they met - and the journey that led them to say “I want you and no other”. Then you get to be there for that commitment, that wedding, the joy and family. But then, a couple years later you see on social that that incredible couple is expecting a child, and it’s so great to see that family grow. Then, if i’m really lucky, I get to photograph that family as it grows. Kevin and Alex are this family. Being able to be there for their engagement photos, wedding, and now their growing family has been an incredible honor for me, and it’s always so great every time I get to see them.
Read MoreSeveral years ago I had the chance to meet Dylan and Kate when I photographed their engagement shoot. They were a couple that just seemed to comfortable in front of the camera and with each other, and their photos were beautiful. Fast forward a bit and some of their plans changed and they had decided to get married out here, so I had the chance to photograph their beautiful wedding at the Historic Davenport Hotel. So a couple years later when I got an email from them asking me to capture their beautiful family of three I was so excited. These two have always been so great, so kind, and their little one was all smiles when he experienced his first snowfall. It was so great to see these two, and i’m so happy for them. I love seeing family’s grow.

The Kernodle’s are kind of like that for me, knowing my wife, and many of her friends, yet I have never had the chance to meet this incredible family until I got to take their picture, and what wonderful people they are! Read MoreConnor and Dani Claeys are amazing people. It was several years ago now that I had the chance to first photograph their crazy winter engagement, then wedding. Since then i’ve seen them multiple times, from sisters weddings to friends weddings, and one thing has always been true - they are just amazing people. I love their kindness, how easy it is to talk with them, and even the people they surround themselves with. I have always enjoyed their company. It was at Dani’s sisters wedding (shout out to Nick & Kayla!) that I saw Dani when she and Connor were expecting, and so when she emailed me roughly a year later and asked me to capture their new family, I was super excited. Not only because these two are amazing, but because I was just excited to see their family grow. What an honor it is to be asked, and i’m so excited to share these photos with you.
Read MoreEarlier this year I had the chance to meet the Johnson Family when I did their maternity photo shoot. Gage and Taylor were so excited, and their family was about to grow from two, to three. Fast forward several months and I had the incredible privilege of getting to meet that young man, in the rain and cold of fall. And boy did it rain! Either way, it was so great seeing these guys again and having the chance to capture them with their little one. What a beautiful family.
