The first chance I had to meet the Reilley family was when we met on the beach in Coeur d’Alene. From the first moment they were a joy to speak to and so easy to photograph. They were quick to laugh, and a group that was just fun to get to know. I’m excited that we also had quite possibly one of the best days to do the family shoot, and i’m excited I get to be the one to share some of these with you!
Read MoreI met the Lamb family for the first time when we met for this shoot. They have two boys who remind me a lot of my boys - wanting to run, jump and play - just a couple years younger than mine. It made for a good time, with a mix of adventures and utilizing some of the boys’ ideas for photos, while also getting some I knew they would all like. Mix in the very kind and thoughtful grandparents, and I love how this shoot turned out. Not to mention getting an incredible day. Here are some of my favorites!
Read MoreI only got to meet the Bressi family the day we took their family photos, but man, they are a kind group. Their baby boy just recently turned one (which is why we were taking the photos) but their older boy was nine, so he was pretty easy to photograph too. Not only that, but the weather really worked out for us and we got some great warm tones. I’ve been looking forward to sharing this one.
Read MoreI feel like sometimes I’m a record on repeat. Because each time I get to see the same couple again, or the same family, I reflect on how great it is to see them. But it’s hard not to say it, because it’s so true. It’s an incredible honor to be asked to be at someones engagement, or their wedding, but in my mind I feel like that honor increases each year you see a family, each year those little kids grow into bigger kids. To watch a family grow, not just in size but also number, is something I absolutely love. That is 100% true of the Slovarp family.
Read MoreLast summer I had the chance to photograph CJ and Caitlin’s wedding, something you should definitely check out if you haven’t seen it. So when I had the opportunity to head out to Walla Walla to capture them in another big life moment - the maternity photos of their first born, I was excited. Not only because these two are awesome - because they are - but also because I was looking forward to seeing the Palouse and wine country. CJ and Caitlin are so easy to get along with, talk to, and photograph, our time went by very quickly. But am I excited to share with you the photos! I hope you love them!
Read MoreSometimes I think I sound like a broken record, but the problem is it’s true every year. Every year someone who hired me last year, and hires me again to take photos of their family is something that truly honors me, something I see as one of the biggest compliments. You see, people’s families are a central part of who they are, and for many, it is the single more important thing to them in the world. So to. be told “I want you to photograph my family” is such an incredible honor.
