Skyler and Kristin are two people I have loved getting to know over the course of their engagement. They are kind, thoughtful, and game for anything (look not further than the side of the mountain photos after the ceremony). I loved watching them dance, getting to know their friends and family, and just being a part of their day. It was beautiful. I hope these photos share a glimpse of what it was like.
Read MoreIt was almost a year ago exactly that I met Madalyn for the first time. I had been asked to photograph her family - and her family’s extended family. We had an incredible shoot, it was beautiful, fun, with a lot of amazing people (shout out to the Murley’s!) So when I got an email this year asking me to take photos for Madalyn’s senior year, I was excited. She is kind, easy to talk to, and we even both share a love of books (even if our taste in genre’s isn’t the same). So I hope you love these senior photos, they were so fun, and i’m excited to share them with you!
Read MoreA couple years ago I had the chance to meet Kenedie’s brother when I did his senior photos. But she wasn’t here, so going into the shoot all I knew was that Kenedie loved volleyball. Turns out, she doesn’t just love volleyball, but she is also kind, easy to talk to, and has a bright smile - when she’ll show it to me. I absolutely love how these senior photos turned out, from the range we got, to the outfits, to the locations, it was all beautiful and Kenedie made things so easy. I’m excited to share these!
Read MoreJesse and Nicole are two people i’ve loved talking to - and have some things in common with. I love the story of how they met (check out their engagement blog for that!) and it’s so awesome seeing some people who have taken something that happened a long time ago and make that into something that will continue happening forever. I loved meeting their friends, and spending this incredible day with them. Here are some of my favorite wedding photos from the day.
Read MoreI had the chance to meet up with the Gilbert Family as they spent a mini-family reunion out here in North Idaho, specifically at Rose Lake. Not only did we get a picture-perfect day, at an awesome location, but we also happened to have one awesome family. People that were kind, easy to work with and fun to talk to. This family photo shoot was a lot of fun, and i’m excited to share these with you!
Read MoreMost people don’t do sunrise hikes - or have ever done them. I’m telling you, you’re missing out. While I absolutely love sunset, and I love being at weddings, and getting to know people, and capturing the emotions of people in some of the best parts of their lives, I also love this. Nature. The warm glow of the sun just before it crests the horizon. There are moments up in the mountains that can feel surreal, and you can spend the whole time just looking out going “wow”. It’s not really something that can be put into words, just as emotion always seems to be lacking a word that truly fits it.
