Aaron and Payton's Wedding at The Ridge at Greenbluff

You may not know this about me, but I have two boys. Isaiah and Judah. At this moment, they are in sixth grade and fourth grade. I bring this up, because Aaron and Payton met in fourth grade. Their story started so long ago that it’s bewildering to me as a father. Who would my sons know now, that in 10 years they may be marrying them? It’s a crazy thought. And if you want to hear more about their story, you should definitely check out their engagement photos. What you need to know for this blog, is that the relationship that started back in fourth grade, from the valentines cards (which they still have) to their school pictures, these two have been together. They’ve been through some crazy things, and all that came to a point on this one day - the day they both said “I want you and no other”. Such a beautiful wedding, with so many great moments, great laughter, and a genuinely awesome group of people. This wedding was a highlight for me this year, and I don’t think you’ll have to scroll too far to understand why - Aaron and Payton are awesome for a multitude of reasons, and I hope that is conveyed in these images. I certainly loved taking them.

Personal - Family trip to Rainier National Park

This particular trip was something I had been looking forward to for a while. My wife and I had set aside the time months and months in advance, and I was so excited to take her and my youngest son to Rainier for the first time. As we got closer and closer to the date, however, the weather started to look more and more sketchy - and sketchy it was. The day we arrived it was pouring rain. So we setup our tent (From DOD Outdoors) in the rain, then got all our bedding setup inside. It was about 37 degrees - in August.

The Wagstaff Family Photos

A couple of years ago I had the chance to photograph the wedding of some pretty awesome people (Shout out to Michael and Malinda!), and while I was there I met these amazing people. Granted, they didn’t have their little one there yet, but this beautiful family of four stood out to me. I was able to take a photo of them at the wedding, and I didn’t hear from them for a couple of years until last year when Allison reached out to me to do their family photos. I love how they turned out, and so when they asked me to do it again, it was a huge compliment. So today I get to share some of my favorites from our recent family shoot together!

Stefan & Alicia's Elk Point Wedding

Stefan and Alicia had such an incredibly memorable day. They cried, they laughed, and they had some beautiful, intimate moments - and I had the chance to be there for all of them. From their beautiful first look, to all the amazing people that gave a toast to these two - it was an absolutely special day. One thing seems to be clear from all the friends and family I met during this day - these two are so dearly loved. They have friends, lots of them, and they are so appreciated. It’s always such a great moment for me, just sitting in the back (or the front, in some cases) just listening to their stories, their laughter, and in this case, that happened a lot. I hope you love these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

CDA Family Photos with the Godfrey's

Getting to meet the Godfrey’s for their family photos was a privilege. I really enjoyed getting to know them, watching their boys play, and attempting to get their beautiful daughter to smile - and smile she did. Granted, what you don’t see is all the tears she also shed, but that smile man - so worth it. What a beautiful and kind family. Love how these turned out!

Boone and Asti's Spokane Club Wedding

I had the chance to first meet Boone and Asti at a wedding a couple of years ago (shout out to Andy and Margaux!) where Boone was a groomsman. They were an awesome couple to meet back then, but man, what a privilege it’s been getting to know them more since then. From sharing beers by the river, to their beautiful Davenport Engagement, and now their wedding. These two are just fun humans to be around. Really, look no further than their dancing photos. But man, it has been such an honor to photograph their wedding, to be there for the laughs, tears, and jokes. Here are some of my favorites from their beautiful day.
