The Goodner family is awesome. They are a family i’ve had the chance to get to know over the last five or six years. They are kind, thoughtful, have awesome energy, really fun to talk to, genuine, and God loving people. They are people you can trust, laugh with, and enjoy the time you spend with them. So getting to photograph their family, their kids, the love Shane and Alyshea have for each other was such a huge privilege. It’s always one of my favorite things being able to take pictures of people I really like, and this was one of those times. I hope you love the photos as much as I loved taking them!
Read MoreI only just got to know the Stensgar siblings when we arrived at the shoot. But from the little time I spent with them, it was great. They were kind, easy to work with, and are getting some great photos for their father for fathers day. Here are a couple of my favorites from our photo shoot.
Read MoreI’ve been taking photos professionally for over twelve years (woah!) now, and one of the things that has started to hit me more and more these days is how incredible it is to follow people and their lives. The Alegreto family is a great example of this, as I had the chance to photograph Arianna’s senior photos, and then I was able to photograph her sisters senior photos (and college grad photos!). All the while meeting the family and getting to know them. Then Arianna got married to an awesome dude named Carson, and I had the chance to do their engagement photos and wedding (which you can see here! So when they asked me to do family photos I was so excited. Carson and Arianna now have a beautiful baby, and Ashley is engaged! So many amazing things, and being able to see this family grow, and new families start, is such an amazing honor. So here is this beautiful growing family - what a privilege it is to share these photos.
Read MoreIt was more than eight years ago that I first met the Hartzog family as I was getting ready to shoot Waylon and Arionne’s wedding. Since then i’ve had the privilege of being there for many other family photos, and it’s such a privilege they think of me every time they come in town. This family is a fun one, quick to laugh, easy to joke with, and just great to talk to. So this particular photo shoot, at the top of a mountain looking over the river and mountains near Sandpoint was a lot of fun for me. Beautiful spot, great people - all I could hope for.
Read MoreAbout 16 years ago I was trying to figure out how to pay for college. It was confusing, and I didn’t have a lot of help except for the financial aid person at the school I was trying to go to (Multnomah University). Now, if you know me, you know i’m not a particularly shy person so when I had a question I would call Mary up. This was so frequent she eventually had my number memorized, and would answer the phone with “hello Brent…” - good times.
Read MoreTo say I’m a huge fan of the Pavlin’s is an understatement. And really, “Pavlin” is only a small portion of this beautiful family, but they were my main contact so that’s what I’m going with! Anyway, I’ve had the chance to get to know this whole family over the course of the last twelve years (which blows my mind) but much more so over the last seven or so. Chris and Bryanna are to people I consider friends, and love spending time with. It’s been a huge joy of mine to not only photograph their engagement out in Seattle, but also their wedding, and their family photos, and their other family photos, and their other family photos - I think you get the idea. It is insane to me to watch a family grow up, and it is such an incredible honor to be there at each amazing step.
