It is crazy how life can work sometimes. Each one of us is going through life, trying to live it the best way possible, honor God, love those around us, our family and friends. And sometimes you make a connection. In this case, the connection was with my oldest son’s Kindergarten teacher (who was excellent) and it was her who introduced me to Tyler and Kelsie. And what a blessing that was! Because these two have been so great, from their engagement shoot last year to their wedding this year they have been fantastic. And you can see that permeated through their family and friends. Such a great bridal party (which I think shows in the energy and smiles in the bridal party photos) and at such an incredible location (Settlers Creek). I hope you love looking through these photos as much as I loved taking them.
Read MoreOne thing that has always struck me about Andrew and Madi are their smiles. These two have some incredible, genuine, joy filled smiles and it is infectious. They have surrounded themselves with people who are similar in temperament, and because of that their wedding at Settlers Creek was not just beautiful, but enjoyable. I had so much fun with these two and their friends and family. It was beautiful and sweet, and man is it a privilege to be able to share these photos with you!
Read MoreJoel and Alyssa had an incredible wedding day in early October. One of my favorite times of year to be at the beautiful Settlers Creek. The grass is still tall, the shadows are long, and the weather can still be nice. In this case, we got everything: beautiful weather, a great sunset (something I didn’t expect), but more than anything, we had some awesome people. From the beginning of the day with Alyssa and the bridesmaids getting ready (shout out to Tricia with BlushbyT for the makeup) to the very end of the evening with the inflatable orcas, special glasses, and great dance party (thank you to Ryan from Epic Vibe for that), the whole day was beautiful and memorable. Joel and Alyssa are super easy to get along with, and I loved being there for every moment. Here are some of my favorites from their wedding!
Read MoreChance and Lily had an incredible wedding at Settlers Creek in June of this year. It was absolutely beautiful, from an incredible sunset, to an incredible couple, group, family, and friends. I loved every minute of their wedding, and I am so excited to be able to share these photos with you. Let me know what you think of them! I know I love how they turned out.
Read MoreAs I was going through and editing Sean and Tyler’s wedding I was reminded of several things. First, and most obvious, is just how awesome, kind, and thoughtful Sean and Tyler are. I absolutely loved spending the day with them and capturing all those emotions, moments, friends and family. These two are such an amazing couple, something that was reinforced to me when I photographed their engagement shoot last year. The second thing that really stuck out to me was - it’s no mystery as to why Settlers Creek is one of my favorite venues. The people there are so great, and the area is absolutely gorgeous. So all these things came together into one absolutely beautiful day - with so many unique things (such as a cocktail hour before the wedding, s’mores, and the chance to do a pre-sunset, sunset session). I hope you love these as much as I loved taking them.
Read MoreMy name is Brent Looyenga and I'm a Spokane wedding photographer. I've been photographing weddings for almost 15 years now. In the course of time, I've found some incredible wedding venues, and also some horrible ones. Some private property locations have been pretty awesome when done right, and others have left me, a Spokane wedding photographer, also the planner of the whole day. There are so many things that will contribute to a venue being one of my top 5 wedding venues in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, but we should talk about a few.
