Engagement Photographer: Kevin & Lauren's sunset farm engagement

They met on Tinder. Kevin was the first person Lauren had ever met with, and she had only downloaded the app the day before. To say she was nervous when they met at the bar for some drinks is probably an understatement, but it doesn’t take a genius to know it went decently well. I would say it wasn't "the most amazing thing ever" because Lauren said their first two dates were "a little awkward."

Spokane Photographers: Beautiful Lakeside Engagement with Andy and Malissa

They met in a parking lot. Yes, romantic hu? Not only was it in a parking lot, but it was also on a work trip, AND neither of them were available at the time. So yeah, I can't say sparks flew on first sight. In fact, the reason they met was because one of Andy's friends had left the keys in the car, and him, nor his friends could reach the keys through the cracked window. Enter the beautiful young woman Malissa, who's arm could reach through the cracked window and grab the keys.

Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer: Patrick & Jenny

Patrick and Jenny aren't local. In fact, they don't even live near Coeur d'Alene, so when this Phoenix Arizona couple asked me to take their engagement photos while visiting our beautiful location I was pumped. I love getting to know new people, and learning more about them. Like how one of Patrick's first thoughts when seeing Jenny for the first time was "woah, she's cute". Jenny, for her part, thought something similar.

Coeur d'Alene Engagement: Vincent & Danielle's Country Lake Engagement

Vincent and Danielle are two people who have magnetic smiles. It really doesn’t take too long to look at some of these photos to understand what i’m talking about, they just seem to enjoy life, enjoy their family (aka, their dog) and enjoy each other. While our time together was partly all based around dodging tons of mosquito’s (at least, until their friend brought some bug spray), the majority of it was enjoying the incredible area we’ve been blessed to live in. The lake, the mountains, and the fields are something that are incredible, and really not that readily available in other areas of the world. I’m thrilled too hare the photos of this amazing couple, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this coming September.

Coeur d'Alene Photographers: Aimee & Tina's Engagement

Photographing engagements is always fun because I get the chance to get to know a couple, get to know who they are, and what makes them “them”. Aimee and Tina met at Starbucks when Tina had moved out to Seattle to pursue job opportunities. Tina went right up to Aimee and said "let's be friends" - so they were. Over the course of months they became good friends, hanging out, drinking beer, talking and doing things friends do. Aimee told me that it was about 6 months in that she began to realize she was attracted to Tina. I asked her if she pursued her, or not, and she looked at me like "well, I did, but I didn't" if that makes any sense. I think what should be understood here is that Aimee was interested, but she wasn't going to try and force anything.

Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer: Adam & Ashley's Sunset Mountaintop Engagement

They met in first grade. Now, I think it would be easy to build out a story around this fact, perhaps saying they were best friends all through school, talked all the time and eventually, sometime in high school these two amazing people decided they wanted to be together, and then, in college, decided they wanted to be together forever.
