CDA Family Photography: The Cheung Family

Associate photographer Dan was able to spend some time with the Cheung family to capture great moments of them, so I think I should leave it to him to write about that experience. This is what Dan had to say: I had the fantastic privilege of meeting the Cheung family, and experiencing firsthand what makes them standout as such an incredible bunch! David & Tanya, along with their two boys Timothy and Oliver, have such a wonderful warmth and openness the moment I met them. David’s father Tim (visiting them from Toronto, Canada) had many great family stories to tell and expressed such a special bond with his grandkids that was wonderfully evident during our photo shoot. Young Timothy could barely contain himself, as his adventurous spirit desired nothing more than to get in the lake and find every large rock he could. Recently new residents of Coeur d’Alene, you’ll meet very few families as kind & welcoming as the Cheung’s!

CDA Family Photos: The Slovarp Family

There is something amazing about being a photographer. It isn’t that we get to see beautiful places, or be an incredible moments - although I do love those things - rather it’s we get the chance to see families grow. I was there when Clint and Melissa were engaged, I had the chance to talk with them, laugh with them, share hiking stories and listen to how they got together. Then they were getting married (at Settlers Creek as well, which is such a beautiful place!) and I had the chance to be there when that relationship went from “let’s date” to “let’s be together forever”.

Spokane Family Photographers: The Hubble Family

It was a couple years ago I was photographing a wedding up on a mountain near Sandpoint Idaho (shout out to Sam and Shay!) when I met Jake and Allie. They were kind, thoughtful, quick to help, and had only recently been married (if I remember right no more than a year, but I’m not super sure). Anyway, the point is I really enjoyed their company, so when Allie reached out to me to see if I would photograph her growing family, I was excited! Not only do I enjoy talking with them, but any chance you get to capture a moment in a young family’s growth is huge. Kids change so fast, and being able to photograph them, capture them as they are is always so valuable. So here’s the Hubble family, I hope you love them as much as I loved taking them!

Manito Park Family Photos: The Retz Family

Oh MAN! I had the chance to photograph Jarrett and Meagan’s wedding last year at the Chateau Rive and it was a highlight for me. These two are not only super friendly and kind, but I just enjoyed their company. So when Meagan reached out to me to photograph their new family of three I was super pumped for it. And boy did we get a great day! Here are some of my favorite photos from their family shoot. I hope you love them!

Spokane Family Photographer: The Williams Family

Sometimes you get the chance to meet some truly special people. This is how I felt earlier this summer when I had the chance to meet the Williams family. They were so energetic, kind, and easy to talk to. I loved the energy the kids had, the kindness the parents showed, and even the cooperative nature of the youngest ones in the group. It was a huge privilege for me to be able to capture these guys, and hopefully get some images that they are going to love for years and years to come.

Coeur d'Alene Family Photos: Demello Family

The Demello family is beautiful - Not just on the outside but on the inside. I absolutely loved getting to know them, their children, and watching them interact. It truly is one of my favorite things, watching families be families. Their kids were so energetic and quick to smile, willing to have fun and get wet (maybe too wet!) But man we had fun for sure. And what an awesome spot we got to do it too, with Coeur d’Alene Lake in the background, while also capturing some of the natural beauty and trees in our area. I am honored to be able to share some of these family photos with you, I hope you love them!
